Visual Art: abstract painting and collage, art as a healing medium

Lori Levi is a mixed-media artist who takes inspiration from her spiritual practices and from nature itself. Her colorful artwork is facilitating healing for partients in nursing homes, hospitals, doctor's offices, chiropractic and holistic facilities. Her designs are also enhancing environments for diverse occupations, including lawyers and social workers.
Lori has been practicing yoga and meditation for over 25 years and has been involved in a range of holistic modalities. She has a Reiki healing practice, and uses her experiences to direct the flow of colors in her art.
"The Art of Healing Designs" are created with the collector in mind. Ms. Levi often integrates materials or objects which have meaning to the person commissioning the work, for those who want a piece created for their home or office. An exciting process unfolds, and the final painting becomes a collaboration and exchange of energy between the artist and client!

Artist Statement:
"My practices are reflected in my paintings which are intended to uplift the human heart and spirit. My paintings are comprised of mixed media, such as hand-made papers, dried flowers, garnet and pumice media, and acrylic paint. They are intended for healing environments, to create a sense of well-being in those seeking physical and emotional healing. My ideas for artwork evolve organically from a deep place of contemplation and emotion. Once I have an idea for a painting I make room for my creative muse to take over.. and am always surprised at what develops on my canvas!"
