In four decades of writing and performing, Denise Jordan Finley's road has been rosy and rocky...After the loss of her voice for a year, she is back in full form... Her vocals, now with a well earned edge, show expression that can only come from a full life's experiences and trials...Perhaps due to a period of compensation for the injury, her guitar work emerges as uncommonly intricate and harmonically powerful. Her songs, reflecting the trials, triumphs and mysteries of every-day experiences, have won multiple awards. In her recent album, HAUNTRESS, the tone of her originals is decidedly metaphysical. Finley is accompanied by Contra Bass Guitarist, Daniel Pagdon, who discovered his instrument at the age of 11, thirty-seven years ago, and hasn't put it down since! Both are self-taught in their craft. Both from the Woodstock, NY area, have toured throughout the United States and Europe.

Artist Statement:
"Music has been my life since I gave my first concert, at the age of two and a half, from my stroller at "The Beauty Box" (my mother's hairdresser) in Hyde Park, New York. From there, I went on to perform on the stair landing of my grandmother's house in Pine Plains, and even booked a successful porch and back yard tour... I went on to play my music from New York City to Los Angeles and abroad, and even on the high seas, I can still say that those resourceful and formative first experiences of playing for an audience may have been the richest."
"Some
of my songs are flatout REAL SPIRITUAL, and many are the fruits of my experience
as a person who has always been extremely open to spiritual energy. I recently
finished a song about moving on after this life entitled "Just Outside of Time,"
which I think would be extrememly meaningful to the show's audience, which I can
present with a moving story of the experiences which inspired the song.
